Training and certification

We train and certify mindfulness instructors in our Vibrant Awareness program. Our training program can be done in person or online. We provide instruction and teaching techniques in all 5 of the elements of our program. The training prepares students to teach all of the elements of our program as well as preparing them with the tools they need to do their own teaching wherever they are.

Students need no particular background in any of the components of our program, though experience in various form so of mindfulness and meditation are definitely assets to getting accepted into our program. One of the 5 components of our program includes exercises and movements drawn from Wu Style Tai Chi, but no previous training in this area is required. Our training program provides the applicant with everything they need to succeed at teaching the program.

We also have two non-profits, one dedicated to teaching the Vibrant Awareness mindfulness program to the disabled, called Positively Disabled (PositivelyDisabled.org), the other teaching it to children, called Positively Young (PositivelyYoung.org). We have specialized training lessons specifically designed to prepare applicants to teach either children or the disabled. Previous experience teaching children or the disabled in some capacity is also considered an asset.

We teach a series of five half day seminars that are available either in person or live online with us. Each seminar focuses on one of the 5 elements of the Vibrant Awareness program. In addition, we have lessons specifically designed for preparing applicants to be employed as teachers for our non-profits. Successful performance in the training program will prepare applicants to teach Vibrant Awareness either as a stand alone course or under the umbrella of either or both of these non-profits. Successful applicants will receive formal certification as teachers of the Vibrant Awareness Mindfulness program with or without specialization in teaching it to children or to the disabled.
