About Us

We are Donna Burlingame and Don Robinson.

 

Donna Burlingame has over twenty years of experience teaching various forms of mindfulness with children, youth and the disabled. She has designed a training and certification program for the practice based program in mindfulness she created.

​

She has a degree in Business and Computer Programming. She was a school teacher in grades K-12 with her specialty in Fine Arts. She quickly moved into an administration position taking with her a specialty in Special Education Program Facilitating for an inner city school system. Donna was a poisedTitle 1 &  Title 2 educator who carried into the lives of her students a vast array of creative fine arts and the implementation of countless community involvement events to better the lives of her students.

She has performed in song for the New York City 9/11 police force and quickly became an icon with her professional stance. Her ability to speak and sing in front of thousands of people is fearless and and always gives a heartfelt delivery.

Donna is full of spirit, passion and love. All who know her assertions know that, she comes into the lives of families and students with calming motivation and with true, contagious joy.

Don Robinson has a PhD in the History and Philosophy of Science. He has taught at several universities and colleges. He also has more than 15 years experience teaching various forms of mindfulness including Tai Chi and Chi Gong.

​

We teach a unique and effective program of mindfulness that we created. We have many years of experience teaching this program to both kids and adults, including soldiers, school children, and the disabled.

​

Our program is called Vibrant Awareness. It includes 5 kinds of meditative practice. The 5 kinds are sitting, standing, walking, and moving meditation, as well as a form of meditation that relies on music and sound. 


Mindfulness is all about allowing the mind to become calmer. It is about finding an inner place where the activity of the mind settles down and opens a door to greater and deeper awareness. This is how self healing begins.
